SSC CGL 2020-21 Application Process will be started shortly. In this article, we have listed down step by step process and important information needed while filling the application form for SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2020-21 Recruitment. How to Apply Online for SSC CGL 20120-21 Exam?

We have listed down the step by step process with some relevant information needed while filling the online application form.  Let’s look at the online Application Process for the various posts under SSC CGL 2020-21 Recruitments:

Step-1: Go to SSC Official website www.ssc.nic.in

Go to the official website of SSC (Staff Selection Commission) – www.ssc.nic.in, and Click on the link ‘Apply’ highlighted in the image given below:

Step-2: Click on ‘Apply’ under ‘CGL’ Category

A new page will after clicking on the link ‘Apply’ placed along with the Exam name CGL (Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2020)

Step-3: Login/ Register as New User

After clicking on the apply link, candidates will be redirected to the home page where they have to login as a new user or simply log in to apply for the SSC CGL 2020-21 Exam:

Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID and mobile number and it should be kept active during the entire recruitment process. After successfully online Registered the registration number, password, and all other important communication will be sent on the same registered e-mail ID.

Step-4: Basic Details to be filled in

Candidates can apply only once for one post. Candidates can apply for each category of post separately and also pay the fee for each category. Before proceeding online application keep the following documents ready:
  • Active Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP).
  • Active Email ID (to be verified through OTP).
  • Aadhaar Number. If Aadhaar Number is not available, please give one of the following. (You will be required to bring the original document at a later stage):
    1.  Voter ID Card
    2.  PAN
    3.    Passport
    4.  Driving License
    5.  School/ College ID
    6.  Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private)
  • Details of Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th)
  • Disability Certificate Number, if applicable.





Step-5: Additional Details to be filled in

  • Give your preference for Examination Centers. A candidate may give three exam centers option, in the order of priority, within the same region.
  • Age relaxation, if applicable.
  • Indicate your highest educational qualification.
  • Provide Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). This is applicable for un-reserved candidates only.

Step-6: Upload Scan copy of Photograph and Signature

Candidates should upload the scan photograph and signature as per the process to be shared by SSC in Official Notification.

Photograph: Scanned colored passport size photograph in JPEG/JPG format. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) and size should be between in 20 KB to 50 KB.

Signature: Scanned signature in JPEG format. Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height) and size should be between in 10 to 20 KB.
Note: Blurred photographs and signature will be rejected.

Step-7: Application Fee

Payment can through by BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan. The category wise examination fee is as follows:

Step-8: Final Submission of Application


Complete your application clicking on “I agree” checkbox, fill up captcha code. Verify carefully before the final submit. After successful submission of the online application, candidates can’t modify anything on application. Candidate must take a printout of the application form for submitting the same along with the requisite documents, duly self-attested, as and when called for by the Commission after the conduct of Computer Based Examination.
