Assam University Silchar has published/released a recruitment notification for the post of 05(five) Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Finance Officer & Section Officer vacancy in Diphu & Silchar Campuses. Eligible Interested candidates can apply online.

Recruitment Details:

1. Professor (Diphu Campus)
No of posts: 01 (UnReserved) History

Educational Qualification: Eligibility for teaching posts shall be as per UGC(University Grant Commission) Regulations 2018.

2. Associate Professor (Silchar Campus)
No of posts: 01 (Schedule Castes) History

Educational Qualification: Eligibility for teaching posts shall be as per UGC(University Grant Commission) Regulations 2018.
3. Assistant Professor (Silchar Campus)
No of posts: 01 (UnReserved) Zoology

Educational Qualification: Eligibility for teaching posts shall be as per UGC(University Grant Commission) Regulations 2018.

4. Finance Officer
No of posts: 01 (UnReserved)

Educational Qualification:

a. Master's Degree with at least 55%(fifty five) of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale wherever grading system is followed
b. At least 15(fifteen) years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11(eleven) & above or with 08(eight) years of service in the Academic Level 12(twelve) & above including as Associate Professor(AP) along with the experience in educational administration or
c. Comparable experience in research establishment &/ or other institutions of higher education, or
d. 15(fifteen) years of  experience administrative, of which 08(eight) years shall be as the Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
e. The age of superannuation of Finance Officer 62 (sixty two) years & upper age limit is 57(fifty seven) closing date of receipt of application. Preference will be given to officers having experience of working in CABs/CPSUs/COs in Audit/Finance/Establishment for at least 05(five) years. Pay Scale of Finance Officer as per 7th CPC pay matrix shown above, which shall be fixed at the appropriate cell. The Finance Officer is entitled for all other allowances in accordance with the guidelines issued by the MHRD(Human Resource Developmen)/UGC(University Grant Commission).

5. Section Officer
No of posts: 01 (OBC)

Educational Qualification:

a. A Bachelor’s Degree(graduate) from a recognized University or equivalent degree with at least 03 (three) years experience in handling Educational Administration/General Administration/Examination/Accounts & Finance in a University/Research Institution/Government department/Autonomous bodies/PSU, with working knowledge of computer application.
b. Three (03) years of regular service in the GP of Rs. 4,200/- (four thousand two hundred)or above having administrative background in Goverment/Academic Institutes/Autonomous Bodies, or 08(eight) years of regular service as UDC at least in the GradePay of Rs. 2,400/-(two thousand four hundred) in Government./Academic Institutes/Autonomous Bodies.
Age: Not above 35(Thirty five) years as on 1st February, 2021.

Application Fee:

A non-refundable Application Fee of Rs. 1000/-(one thousand) for UnReserved & OBC(Other Backward Classes). SC(schedule castes)/ST(schedule tribes) & Women Candidates need not to pay any application fees. The application fee is to be paid through the payment gateway by online Internet Banking(IB)/ Debit Card/Credit Card .
